Children’s Museum of Manhattan

Open until 7 p.m. on Saturdays, the Children’s Museum is perfect for squeezing one last activity before the end of the day. Exhibits feature health, the arts, interactive play areas, and more across five floors of discovery opportunities.

Get the older members of your family together for an evening at The Spaniard, a nautical-style bar with a full dinner menu, spacious round booths for large groups, and even a semi-private back room if you’re in the mood to plan a nice evening out with the family. The Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum sits on a retired aircraft carrier and features exhibits on aircraft, seacraft, and space travel in their indoor activity zone-- perfect for small children who can’t help but to touch everything in a museum exhibit. Older patrons will love the museum’s various rotating exhibits on naval history, technology, and more.

Grand Central Station

This historic transportation hub doubles as a shopping mall, food destination, and market, all of which are surrounded by 48 acres of gorgeous architecture. Grand Central is perfect for spending an afternoon shopping, touring the building, or killing some time in between other stops, with plenty of things to look at and places to go to keep everyone entertained.

The Guggenheim Museum

This upscale Manhattan art museum offers plenty of activities for families and children of all ages, plus free admission for children under 12. Every Saturday evening is “Pay What You Wish” from 5 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Suggested admission is $10, but patrons are able to pay whatever they wish to enter the museum-- just keep in mind that only cash is accepted on these evenings.
