The Family Reunion

The Jackson family decided to have their family reunion in Philadelphia this year. They decided to make it a three-day excursion, inviting over 100 family members to the city for a weekend of fun and bonding. Ally Bus decided to book two charter buses to accommodate the group for the weekend.  Check out how we assisted with getting them to and from there destinations, below: 

Day 1

Family members began flying and driving into Philadelphia on Thursday night and Friday morning, with an official check-in time of 10:00 am. at the Best Western Plus Philadelphia Bensalem Hotel. Once everyone was checked in, they started the weekend with a family lunch and picnic at Fairmount Park.

During the afternoon, they took a tour of some of Philadelphia’s most popular locations, such as Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Reading Terminal Market. They stopped to eat at James Restaurant & Bar before returning to the hotel for some more family time.

Day 2

For the second day of their family reunion, the Jackson family decided to resume activities out of the hotel, visiting a number of outdoor attractions in Philadelphia. After having breakfast at the hotel, they began the day at the Philadelphia Zoo. The children in the family enjoyed the zoo a bit more than the next destination, which was the Rodin Museum. Once they left the museum, they headed to Franklin Square.

After eating lunch, the Jackson family played mini-golf and rode on the carousel at Franklin Square. From there, they went to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens to check out the galleries. The family returned to the hotel for dinner, then headed back out to watch a movie at Studio Movie Grill.

Philadelphia Zoo

The Philadelphia Zoo was the first true zoo in the United States. Located in Philadelphia’s Centennial District, it houses a collection of rare animals, including an alligator and snapping turtle that are both over 100 years old.

Day 3

For the last day of the family reunion, the Jackson wanted to do something fun for the kids while also getting a taste of history. First, they went to the Adventure Aquarium, then took a trip to the ‘Rocky Steps’ the iconic location of one of Rocky’s most famous scenes.

Afterward, they stopped by Pat’s King of Steaks for a famous Philly cheesesteak. To close the day, they returned to the hotel for the farewell ceremony and checkout.
